About
This project had required me to find a practicing artist, interview them and create a layout using that
interview for an imagined magazine. I chose to interview Kelly Salchow Macarthur, a RISD grad and
two-time Olympian.

process
The interview consisted of questions I had created beforehand and, using a voice to text app, I was able to record and transcribe our conversation successfully. After the interview I went over the transcription and corrected any mistakes the program had made while translating our talk to text. I then further edited the interview to flow better as well as fit the three-page limit.
I mimicked some of the colors and styles Macarthur uses in her own work to make the layout more personal to her, such as her use of color and overlapping images and text.
